Mr Eazi, DJ Edu Form New Music Group, ‘ChopLife’

A new collaboration has been announced to excite fans around the world. Nigerian artist and music business entrepreneur Mr Eazi and his Kenyan-born DJ, DJ Edu We have joined forces to form a new musical group called Choplife Soundsystem.

Choplife Soundsystem is a new pan-African music group named after the popular West African pidgin slang phrase “Chop life”. This is what it means to “enjoy life to the fullest”. The group also pays homage to the traditional sound system that is the backbone of Jamaican musical culture.

Eazi announced that more details about Choplife Soundsystem, including new music releases, partnerships and live events, will be revealed later this spring.

In a recent interview with Forbes Africa, Eazi revealed that he also founded an organization called Chop Life Ministries. This is an initiative aimed at bringing the experience of the electronic dance music festival, Tomorrowland, to fans across the African continent. Yiji was the host and MC of the festival, which drew large crowds in Rwanda and Sweden.

Eazi also talked about his next album, ‘Chop Life Volume One,’ which is set to be released on March 31, 2024.

Fans of Mr Eazi and DJ Edu can look forward to new music and exciting collaborations from Choplife Soundsystem in the near future.
