salon potluck is an exciting new restaurant & cocktail lounge from celebrity chef Luke Dale Roberts located beneath the Pot Luck Club in Woodstock’s Old Biscuit Mill. The restaurant’s name itself reflects the concept behind the establishment, which is all about communal dining and an unpretentious experience.
The menu features an eclectic mix of dishes inspired by the tastes of the world, presented in small appetizer portions designed to be shared. Marvel at the array of tartlets, reminiscent of sumptuous French pastries.
Gateau is a perfect looking cake layered with foie gras, hibiscus jelly and 100% dark chocolate.
This is recommended as it can be shared in half size. You can also enjoy beautifully presented dishes such as lobster martinis, porcini and parmesan profiteroles, small cheese plates (three or five of excellent local artisanal cheeses), and small dessert bonbons.
Luke introduced some of the more substantial dishes, including miso king clip with fish rice, charred broccolini, and umami-infused clear tea. These are designed more as part of a main course and designed to make the experience a full meal. There was also a wagyu beef and rice dish that we didn’t try.
Fresh oysters dressed 3 ways (we loved the Nam Jim style) and beef or tuna tartare were a delicious way to start the meal served just how you like itMore . I want to.
The space itself is elegant and sophisticated, with a cozy and lively atmosphere, perfect for an enjoyable meal with friends. The decor is chic and the dimly lit cocktail bar makes you feel like you’re in New York, Paris or London. This world-class, innovative dining concept is just around the corner.
