World-renowned Nigerian author, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, today unveiled her latest book titled ‘Mama’s Sleeping Scarf’ in an Instagram post.
Due out in September, this upcoming book will be the best-selling author’s first children’s book and the 11th in her illustrious career.
Mama’s Sleeping Scarf is based on Adichie’s daughter’s day and celebrates the simple joys of everyday life. It centers around a little girl’s love for her mother’s scarf and the various adventures she shares with scarf and her family.
the illustration of the book Joel Avellino, a London-based artist of Congolese and Angolan descent. The family-focused tale and the emotional resonance of everyday items promise to be a compelling and moving read.
