There are only four superstars in Ghana — Zapp Mallet defends Michael Blackson

Legendary Ghanaian sound engineer Zap Mallet has jumped to the defense of actor, philanthropist and comedian Michael Blackson, who said Ghana has only four superstars compared to Nigeria.
The popular US-based comedian sparked major controversy after he said in a recent interview on America’s popular podcast Drink Champs that Ghana can’t boast more than four music superstars compared to Nigeria. I was.
Michael Blackson listed Sarcody, Stoneboy, Black Sheriff, and Shatter Wale as the only superstars.
Speaking to Ghanaweekend.com, Zap Mallett, who shared his take on Michael Blackson’s allegations, said the US-based comedian told the truth.
According to the legendary sound engineer, there are many artists who have done extremely well, but the media has chosen to hype just the aforementioned four artists.
“Let’s blame the media…The media made these artists look like the only good ones in Ghana. This is very bad.”
When persuaded to mention the names of artists he believes have been sidelined by the media, the veteran sound engineer said: The Black Sheriff is having fun.
