‘Get the Artiste’, Ghana’s first online artist booking platform for entertainment industry professionals and event organizers, debuted with artists such as Amerado, Okyeame Kwame, Sista Afia, Abiana and Epixode joining the platform .
The platform aims to facilitate the work of event organizers and people in the entertainment industry who want to book artists for various shows and programs.
Kwame Baah, digital marketing expert and head of the ‘Get the Artistes’ initiative, told GNA Entertainment at the time of its launch that the platform’s main goal is to attract artists and event organizers.
He added that the new initiative will help curb the problem of artists not showing up for shows and the problem of fraud surrounding artist bookings.
“Get the Artistes exists to bridge the gap between an event organizer and an artist or someone who needs artist management. Make sure the artist is there on time, explain, and let them know exactly what they’re going to do beyond the performance.
Ace musician Kwame Nsiah-Apau, aka Okyeame Kwame, also told GNA that the new initiative will be very beneficial for artists as it will allow them to get in touch with them easily.
“So the benefits are very simple: if people want to find us and they don’t know any of our relatives, we have an international specialized platform that people can go through to find us. available, they will be able to find us,” he said.

Event organizer Benjamin Mainoo told GNA Entertainment that he was scammed last year for booking artists and that the initiative will curb the challenges organizers face in reaching artists. .
“Last year we wanted to book Fameye and we were dealing with the wrong person to the point of transferring about 10,000 Gh as the first deposit. Some of these problems can be avoided,” he said.
Artist Manager, Film Director and Producer Castro Owusu Ansah Sarpong added: It makes the manager’s job a lot easier in terms of finding gigs and such.
“Ultimately, it’s less of a burden for managers. For me, it’s beneficial for artists, managers, and the industry as a whole.”
