According to Ghanaian dancehall sensation Stonebwoy, who just debuted on Power FM’s famed Breakfast Club program in New York, a man who accepts his financial responsibility is a cornerstone of African culture.
According to Stonebwoy, African men expect respect and submission from their female partners in exchange for protection and financial provision for their families.
He claims to lean towards women who hear and feel the need to seek his advice on matters.
During an appearance on The Breakfast Club, he commented, “If you’re over the top, I recognize you as a different guy.”
“I think being submissive is really attractive and I think that’s pretty awesome…I admire women who don’t abuse you or do things like that. For me , that’s a beautiful thing, if you go too far, you’re like a woman, and I recognize you as just a man.
However, he said a woman should not be under the control of poison just because a man wants her to submit.
