If Prayers Could Solve Our Problems, We Shouldn’t Be Where We Are Now – Yvonne Nelson

Ghanaian film star Yvonne Nelson has criticized overreliance on prayer and religion and urged the government to prioritize the country’s development.
Speaking about the National Cathedral project, Yvonne indicated that President Akufo Addo’s government had the wrong priorities.
The “Kotoka” actress feels that, given the current economic situation, building a church should be the last thing the government would consider.
However, governments should prioritize spending on the health or education industry.
“Given the current economic difficulties, building a church is the last thing the government should do, and should rather invest in the education and health sectors, she told Power Entertainment on Power979fm.…
Personally, I pray a lot… I don’t think anyone prays more than I do,” she added.
The famous actress thinks the National Cathedral is great, but doesn’t think the time is right.
The government, through the Ministry of Finance, has approved the release of 25 million cents for the construction of Accra’s National Cathedral.
