Boomplay Honors Black Sherif With A Billboard Following His Album Streaming Milestone

Ghanaian pioneer Black Sheriff’s first studio album ‘The Villain I Never Was’ reigned as the most streamed album on audio streaming platforms. Playing his Boomplay in Ghana since its release on November 6, 2022, he has earned a special Milestone signature.

The project has recorded over 200 million streams on the platform and is number 1 to date. The album’s success is also attributed to Empire (Black Sheriff’s record label), as they are all subsidiaries of Warner Music Company, which helped market the project.

Mohammed Ismail Sheriff, whose real name is Mohamed Ismail Sherif, is a 21-year-old talented artist who made headlines online in 2020 with the release of “Money,” “Cry For Me,” and “Destiny.” He then dropped ‘Money (remix)’, ‘Adea Kye’ and ‘Ankonam’ and made a big splash with his Boomplay in several countries.
