Joey B Reveals Why He’s Been Missing In Action At Some Shows

Ghanaian rapper Joey B has revealed why he missed several shows he was billed to appear on.
The “Tonga” singer opened up about her battle with asthma. It has been going on since 2018. However, his condition has deteriorated over the past year, causing him to have seizures upon seizures.
“Where to start…I have been battling asthma for the last few years. Constant asthma attacks due to changes and excessive dust,” he tweeted on Saturday, Jan. 5.
The revelation about Joey’s condition comes after he was accused on Twitter of disrespecting fans repeatedly and not appearing at multiple events.
where do i start…
I’ve been battling asthma for the past few years. It got really serious in 2018, but somehow I’ve been banging it out.— Joey B (@1RealJoeyB) January 7, 2023
The most recent event was “Automosphere”, where he was trending on Twitter as his absence from the show was criticized by event goers who wanted to see him perform.
Joey says there are all stories about him being “pompous” and not showing up to the event, but that’s not the case.
“I’m still performing in this state and venting my anger/energy on stage. , didn’t show the event.Apart from the free ones, it still shows how much you like the paid ones,” he added.
I am still performing in this state and venting my anger/energy on stage. I didn’t show the event because I think it’s Drake. Free events sef, shows how much I still like paid events.

Joey also added that he’s keeping his condition private, but due to the attacks he’s received on social media about the issue, it’s only being spoken out.
“I kept these attacks private because I don’t want them to be an excuse for not removing the music or asking for sympathy. We have to let everyone know what’s going on,” he said.

He also revealed that fans think he just did a no-show without any contact, but that he told event organizers about his condition at the last minute and promised to make amends to the fans.
“My condition was communicated last minute to the event organizers, but I thought I would be able to get over it, but it just wasn’t for me. I will definitely make amends to you when I am fully recovered,” he concluded.
My condition was passed on to event organizers at the last minute as I thought I could push through, but it was beyond me. Don’t push likes and engagement narratives. When I am fully recovered, I will definitely make amends to you. ❤️
