On Thursday, the American team paid a courtesy call to the GJA President through Samuel Seth Karikari, Ghanaian representative of the Abofrem Area Foundation and coordinator of America’s Most Beautiful in Africa, known as ‘KOOFORI’, based in Ghana.
Kufori ushered the American visitors to the President and explained that the Queen will be doing charity work in Ghana, including donations to street children, windows and hospitals.
The President of GJA Albert Dwumfour was thrilled and applauded the Abofrem Area Foundation’s efforts to promote African culture in the United States and give back to the country through philanthropy.
He added that all he could do was invite them to dinner and ensure media support from Ghana for all their efforts.
Laurie and Angel thanked the GJA President and said they were overwhelmed by the hospitality of the Ghanaians during their short visit and plan to visit Ghana more often in the future.
Abofrem Area Foundation Inc works on several charity projects each year in Ghana. This includes digging, building hospitals, donating to street children, widows, scholarships, and more.
