Up-and-coming Ghanaian artist DJ Azonto has rejected gay claims made by some social media users.
Azonto’s sexuality has been questioned on social media, especially in regards to how he dresses on music shows and in interviews.
DJ Azonto has been spotted many times in the ‘hippo and skirt’, a rare practice among Ghanaian artists.
But according to the “Fa Ne Fom” hitmaker, his clothing line is his brand and has nothing to do with his sexuality.
“I’ve heard a lot of people say I’m gay, but I’m not. I love dressing up because it makes me stand out,” he said in an interview.
He added that he is not shaken by the allegations as he remains focused on creating more shock for his fans.
DJ Azonto is currently gearing up to host a star-studded line-up of artists for his first ever Christmas concert at Kwashieman Park on December 25, 2022.
