The World Cup 2022 will be held in Qatar from November 20th to December 18th, with 32 teams competing in eight groups.
Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup is just a few days away. This year’s tournament will be the first to be held in the Middle East and from late November to he will be the first to be held in early December.
The event will take place in eight stadiums spread across five Qatar towns: Lusail, Al Khor, Al Rayyan, Al Wakrah and Doha.
The top two teams from each group advancing to the World Cup Knockout Stage have already qualified.
The two-time Intercontinental Playoff winners were given two opening spots in Groups D and E. Australia received their first ticket after beating Peru on penalties.
When and where will the 2022 World Cup take place?
The 2022 Qatar World Cup will take place on Sunday 20 November at Arbeit Stadium, where the host nation will face Ecuador in Group A.
Senegal’s match against the Netherlands at Al Toumama Stadium was originally scheduled to start the tournament a day later, but Qatar’s match was brought forward to allow the home tournament to start.
England will appear on Day 2 in their Group B match against Iran, which is scheduled to kick off at 1pm UK time on Monday 21 November.The game comes just eight days after the Premier League shuts down
After qualifying in the playoffs, Wales’ first match will also be played on Monday 21 November.
Wales will face England in Group B on Tuesday 29 November.
The final will take place on Sunday 18th December, one week before Christmas, at Doha’s Lusail Stadium.
