Cacio e Pepe air fryer corn ribs

I wanted to capture the essence of the famous Roman pasta sauce.”cacho e pepeWith corn ribs in these air fryers. A simple combination of butter, black pepper, pecorino and parmesan cheese is irresistible. Serve over air-fried corn ribs for the perfect snack, small plate, or side dish.
Cutting sweet corn into corn ribs is a bit tricky, so be very careful. Flavored butters can also be added throughout the cone if desired.
However, I think it’s worth the effort because it’s somewhat more filling than eating a whole corn.
Cooking corn ribs in an air fryer is so easy, I buy an air fryer just to cook vegetables.
If you want to get a few golden, slightly charred bits on your corn cobs or corn ribs, an air fryer will give you that. Now that we’ve shown you how to cook corn ribs and whole corn, you have a choice.
If you don’t have an air fryer, you can cook corn on the cob or corn ribs in boiling water or on the grill. Skip the first butter basting.
How to make corn ribs in an air fryer.
Corn ribs are difficult to cut, so heating each one in the microwave for 1 minute will soften the cob and make it easier to cut.
Lightly brush the corn ribs with the melted butter and black pepper mixture.
Preheat air fryer to 200C/400F.
Once the air fryer reaches temperature, place the corn ribs in a basket, cobs facing down, leaving some space between each. Optionally, if you have a small round air fryer, do a batch of these.
Cook for 8 minutes. I don’t think you need to turn it over because it’s lying down.
To cook whole corn in an air fryer, cook for 12 minutes.

Buttered Cacio e Pepe corn ribs are my latest obsession. I came up with the recipe a long time ago and am excited to finally bring it to life here.
Cacio e Pepe literally means “pepper and cheese” and butter is also added when making this pasta sauce to create a silky texture. He’s one of the easiest sauces to make and goes great with corn.
Butter is a key ingredient in this very simple dish, so we want to use the best. kelly gold Salted butter, which is such a creamy butter. Made from the milk of grass-fed cows that roam the lush Irish pastures, it’s so delicious.
Similar to cacio e pepe pasta, it uses a combination of parmesan reggiano and pecorino romano. The latter has a distinct sheep’s milk flavor that makes it a staple in cooking. Of course you can use all or he can use one, but I like 50-50 combinations each.
Black pepper is mixed with two cheeses and butter to form a soft paste that is liberally spread over the air-fried corn ribs.
This recipe is for 3 sweet corn cut into corn ribs that fit in a larger square air fryer basket. If you have a smaller air fryer basket, you may need to adjust the amount and cook in batches.

Deep-fried corn ribs drizzled with cacio e pepe butter (parmesan/pecorino cheese and black pepper)

3 sweet corn, trimmings
1/2 cup room temperature Kelly Gold butter (divided)
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper (set aside)
3 tablespoons Freshly grated parmesan cheese (additional sprinkle)
3 tablespoons freshly grated pecorino romano
Remove the outer leaves from the corn and cut off the ends.
Microwave the corn for 1 minute to soften it slightly and make it easier to cut. Remove and let cool enough to handle.
Using a very sharp, sturdy knife, carefully slice the sweet corn in half lengthwise. Cut each in half to make a total of 4 quarters or corn ribs.
Repeat with remaining 2 sweet corn.
Melt ¼ cup (half) butter in the microwave and add ½ teaspoon black pepper. Butter each corn rib. If you have leftover butter, you can save it to add at the end.
Preheat air fryer to 200C/400F. Once heated, place the corn ribs rib side down in a basket and cook for 8 minutes until just beginning to brown around the edges.
While the corn ribs are cooking, mix the remaining 1/4 cup Kellygold butter with 1/2 teaspoon black pepper and cheese to form a paste. Soften the butter a little if necessary.
Liberally coat the corn ribs with butter and cheese paste and serve immediately with the remaining butter on the side.
Sprinkle some grated pecorino and parmesan cheese over the cooked corn ribs.
