Coachella Sues Ghanaian Afrochella Over Trademark Violation

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has filed a lawsuit against Ghana’s Afroquera in California federal court for alleged trademark infringement.

Last year, Coachella filed a similar lawsuit against Live Nation Entertainment for trademark infringement for contributory purposes.

The complaint was against the organizers of Mission Indian’s Twenty-Nine Palms Band, which promoted the “Coachella Day One 22” event.

Coachella and Golden Voice sued Live Nation Entertainment, which sold tickets for the event. This allegedly violated the Coachella trademark. The lawsuit was settled months ago.
