Namibian stars DJ Yessonia, Musketeers nominated for Afrimas

Two of Namibia’s most popular artists are singer-turned-deejay DJ Yesonia and ‘DankoHit makers musketeers nominated for prestigious award All Africa Music Awards (Afrimath). This is an award show that aims to honor the rich musical heritage of the African continent. DJ Yesonia Nominated in three categories: Best African DJ, Best Artist, African Electro Duo or Group and South African Female Artist of the Year. The Musketeers were nominated for South Africa’s Male Artist of the Year.

DJ Yessonia told unWrap.online that she’s still in awe, but humbled and grateful to be nominated.
“My goal was to work and pursue my dreams, but now I am nominated for Africa. , showing that people actually expect Namibian talent and promoters.

“The nominations take place after Women’s Month and I dedicate my nominations to all the hard working female DJs in Namibia and across our continent. I have done my part and all I need now is the support and support of the state,” she said.

In a statement shared by manager Knowledge Ipinge, the Musketeers said they were very excited to be nominated alongside the industry heavyweights they inspire.

“Our nomination is a huge win for the Namibian music industry as a whole and an inspiration for our generation of hard working Amapiano artists. We invite all of our rotating fans in other major markets to vote for us once the public voting platform opens,” the message read.

Voting is scheduled to open on September 25, 2022.
