Burna Boy took to TikTok to express his feelings about Jack Harlow winning ‘Song of the Summer’ at this year’s VMAs..

Both audiences and performers were blown away by Jack Harlow’s incredible performance at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards.

After receiving 4 Moon Men and winning the Fan Favorite Song of the Year award over Beyoncé and BTS, viewers took to social media to express their feelings.

“White man beats Beyoncé, BTS, Doja, VMAs are serious,” wrote one fan.

The frustration over Harlow’s win wasn’t just from the audience. The “first class” rapper’s industry peers seem to be underestimated by Sunday’s streak.

Burna Boy, who usually stays away from media drama, shared a video on TikTok of people singing his hit “Last Last” out loud at the 2022 Notting Hill Carnival.

Inspirational video aside, the Nigerian singer’s caption made fans think he was shading Harlow.

“Wow so many heartbroken people #LastLast #Songofthesummer,” he wrote, while a statement in the video read: [yawn emoji]”

“Last Last” is Burna Boy’s first song to enter the Billboard Hot 100 as a solo or lead artist. It’s also Billboard’s US Afrobeat Songs chart, which charted him at number one for eight consecutive weeks and is also his highest charting song of his.
