This week’s episode is BNXN fka Buju When he sits with Dadaboy Ehiz.
Nigerian Afro-pop singer-songwriter BNXN fka Buju joins Dadaboy Ehiz via FaceTime on Apple Music 1 to discuss his latest track “In My Mind.” He also talks about his album Bad since ’97, his approach to perfecting the sound, and his creative chemistry with Wizkid.
BNXN’s “Failure Since ’97”
I was born on May 14th, 1997, and many people misunderstand, “Oh, this person just started singing in 2021 and is just a beginner.” I want people to know that I am talented. , this is a talent that I realized could change my life and the entire Nigerian soundscape. I wanted people to relate my date of birth and understand how crazy this place used to be.
I put so much time into this project that I wanted to go all the way back to its original roots. I wanted the project itself to say, “I was born this talented, this good.”
BNXN finalizes his sound for new project
I called it a project rather than just an EP because it was time consuming and required more people than usual. Usually people only try to give everyone their best when making an album, but this time I personally wasn’t happy with the sound, so I wanted to get the most out of the EP. Sound – Since my last project, I felt it was my duty to take it to the next level.
My sound might sound a bit harsh to some if not well designed and structured, so I decided to perfect it in this project.
BNXN on Chemistry with Wizkid
No one makes better music than me and Wiz together. Impossible! i promise you. We have the most amazing chemistry ever.
You can listen to the following songs [together] It’s coming out, bro!was later [‘Many Ways’] I was able to prove it because there was a ‘mood’ and there were others. He is on another level when working with me.
