Veteran Playwright, Actor Cont Mhlanga Dies

Kont Muranga, founder of the acclaimed Amakosi Theater Productions and one of Zimbabwe’s most prolific artists, has passed away.
Zimbabwe National Arts Council (NACZ) Executive Director Nicholas Moyo confirmed his death in a statement seen by News Central.
“It is with great sadness that the Board and Administration of the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe announce to Zimbabwe’s national and cultural and creative sectors and internationally the sad passing of the legendary Komto Mudradra Muranga.
“Comte was hospitalized 10 days ago. His condition appeared to be stable, but there has been another change in the last three days. Conte passed away this morning.
